Nau mai, Haere mai
This programme is for learners who have a basic understanding and ability in the use of Te Reo Māori and have a genuine desire to communicate with little support in familiar everyday contexts and in Māori environments where they feel comfortable.
You will:
- Learn basic Māori vocabulary and grammatical structures
- Be able to express basic connections to the land, environment and people of the area
- Apply technical knowledge of foundation-level reo Māori
- Develop respect for te reo Māori as you learn about yourself and others.
Entry requirements
Open entry
There are no academic entry requirements for Domestic or International Tauira.
English language entry requirements
Applicants must have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake the bilingual programme, which is taught in English.
